ORCHARDLEIGH ESTATE WEDDING | JESSICA & MARK
Picture the scene….A beautiful place, finest English countryside, a hot Summers morning, stunning bath stone courtyard, swifts flying overhead, and the chitter chatter of people talking and giggling in the distance. This was my approach to Orchardleigh Estate, the chitter chatter was of course bridal party and as I got nearer the hairdryers were blowing and the laughter louder and the champagne corks popping. Mark spent the night in the Gate house, a gothic turreted building, wood panelling and dark and moody inside, quite fitting for the gents morning preparations. Top hat and tails by Alexandra Wood of Saville Row. He was nervous, he had his game face on….

The gardens at Orchardleigh are beautiful and the ceremony was held outside under the portico at the orangery within the walled garden. Orchids, Hydrangeas and candles were everywhere. It was very emotional. Confetti and reception canapés and drinks in the formal gardens of the main house. The weather was superb…

Speeches came before the wedding breakfast and Jess & Mark were celebrated into the orangery by the red tailed toastmaster. This was a strictly no football talk wedding. Many guests were part of Marks football squad so this was going to be hard, yellow card and red cards were issued and forfeits were in place! Yellow, buy a bottle of champagne for the couple. Red, champagne for everyone!
As the Summer evening came the party went wild, with dance off’s from grooms men, brides maids, and the Mums! Then when the stags got involved it went a bit…..Well Ill just leave that there.
Jess & Mark, a beautiful couple with such wonderful families, this day was special.
