Peterstone Court Christmas winter wedding.
There is always something very magical about a Christmas winter wedding at Peterstone Court, Brecon. The place just sparkles, with it’s roaring fires and glowing candlelit rooms it has such a warm and cozy atmosphere.
Winter weddings like our summer weddings are unpredictable with the weather and every time I have photographed at Peterstone during the summer and winter I’ve always wanted to try and capture the couple portraits with Pen Y Fan in the background, its such an iconic Welsh landmark and yet its one that has always been a mystery for me. I’ve found the perfect location and always had amazing couples who are up for the challenge but alas the summit has always be completely covered in a low mist.
Charlotte & Davids day was one of the most ethereal. Travelling along the mountain road the mist thickened. The mystery of the mountain was to remain. As we drove higher we were engulfed. We had committed to this moment and I was going to do it. Charlotte & David laughed and joked and I remember her saying to me “good luck with this one!” We could barley see 10 meters in front of us.
But wow! This moment was special…The atmosphere and mood the mist created was surreal.
Until next time Pen Y Fan… My fingers are crossed. Peterstone Court Christmas winter wedding
