Luxury wedding on Lake Como Villa Cipressi
This wedding day really was saved at the eleventh hour! A thunder storm started in the early hours. The low heavy clouds hid the mountains under a shroud of mist. Loud claps of thunder ricocheting across the lake and flashes of lightening chasing through the clouds. This storm went on and on and stayed all night. Waking on wedding day and nothing had changed. Daylight could barely break through the clouds. The thunder still roared and there was sheet rain and lightening. The wedding was all outside and the prospect looked bleak.
However, something happened. Sam and Mike were blessed. Who ever was looking down at them on this day made magic happen. As if like clock work at 12pm the rain and thunder instantly stopped. The sky became silent and as the clouds began to sail across the lake, the outside preparations began. Everyone couldn’t believe the storm we had all just witnessed and the impeccable timing of mother nature. The floral arch ways, tables, chairs, silverware and crystal all began to find their place in the beautiful gardens of Villa Cipressi.
Sam and Mike began to prepare themselves for a truly beautiful day. Wedding dress by Mikaella and shoes by Badgley Mischka, Sam looked stunning and crowned off with a very delicate leaf design tiara. The guys all wearing timeless tuxedo’s and Mike making a tailoring statement with his bespoke navy tuxedo and white bow tie
The ceremony was conducted by Sam’s uncle. It was filled with meaningful and heartfelt words full of emotion, along with plenty of stories that made everyone smile. Nothing captures the heart more than the smiles of two beautiful people, who are deeply in love surrounded by their family and friends.
During aperitivo I took Sam and Mike for a short walk to Villa Monastero. We wandered through the beautiful gardens towards the water jetty for a Riva boat cruise of the lake.
After the Riva we arrived back at Cipressi and sat for speeches and dinner. The words rolled off the tongues and were full of sentiment and laughter.
As the sun set and dinner was drawn to a close The wedding cake was cut on the lake side terrace, followed by the champagne Sabre and the amazing operatic voices of the Tenors.
Daylight faded and the party began in the ballroom, the incredible band Brightlights got the party rocking straight away, and everyone danced long into the late night under a clear twinkling star lit sky.
