South Wales Wedding Photography at Fairyhill Gower Jody & Rob
I’ve known Jody since 2014, she is a very talented makeup artist and I have worked along side her as a South Wales wedding photographer during the many weddings I have captured over the years.
Jody has seen how I photograph weddings for several years. She knows my style and my approach in photographing a wedding day – It’s a natural, honest and true way. I remember her saying a few years back
“YOU WILL BE THE ONE PHOTOGRAPHING MY WEDDING DAY,
I DON’T KNOW WHEN, BUT IT WILL BE YOU”.
When Rob proposed she got in touch straight away to share the happy news and to say they are looking at venues. They both loved my natural style of wedding photography mixed with being able to create epic portraits is something they both wanted for their wedding photography.
Fast forward several years later and boom, here I am and here she is. I’m watching her applying her own wedding day make up and walking down the aisle as a married woman. It’s quite strange, surreal and privileged as a wedding photographer seeing someone’s dreams come true and a wedding day is full of special dreams. It must have been even stranger for Jody as like me, she I so used to seeing everyone else’s wedding days and special dreams, but this day these were her dreams.
The venue for the ceremony and wedding reception was Fairyhill, part of the Oldwalls Collection located on the Gower peninsula. A stunning country house with a very modern twist, it’s luxurious details make is such an elegant place to hold a wedding, It’s no wonder Fairyhill won best UK wedding venue voted by Hitched.
This day was not about the exquisite Riki Dalal dress or the beautiful winged shoes, or the surprise blue Tiffany box, or the delicate flowers of soft open roses and fresh cut orchids created by Eve Francesca or the fabulous entertainment from Bronwen Lewis and irock, or even one of the most incredible sunsets I’ve ever seen on the Gower peninsula…This day was about these two people, Jody and Rob and their bond and love for each other celebrated with all their family and close friends.
It was a perfect day.
